What Is Chapter 13 bankruptcy?

Chapter 13 is one method under the Bankruptcy Code to obtain relief from your creditors, while at the same time providing a fair means to pay them back as much as you can.  People who file Chapter 13 cases are commonly referred to as “debtors”.  A Chapter 13 Plan cannot exceed more than 60 months.  Only an individual with regular income can file for relief under Chapter 13.
